Each of the 15 rooms at Arenal Palace has tall bay windows that look out toward the volcano. The rooms are large and open, with small wooden tables and chairs fit for enjoying a book by the window. All the rooms have WiFi, hot showers, and small TVs with cable. Outside the front door, the rooms have shared patios and chairs with views of the surrounding mountains. Doubles run for $60 and breakfast is included.
Amenities & Service
The hotel has plenty of parking spaces in the dirt lot behind the rooms. It also has a small pool on the hill below the hotel, but you'll have to double-check if there's water in it. What the Arenal Palace lacks in amenities, it makes up for in service. The Costa Rican family who cooks in the morning is warm and friendly adding to the overall experience of eating breakfast while watching clouds roll over the volcano's peak.
