Dip in its warm waters during high tide, sunbathe on its coarse sand, or hike on the sands to enjoy panoramic views of the entire length of the beach, ocean and birds feasting on creatures crawling the beach berm or fish trapped in the rocks. To best experience the beach arrive two hours before or after high tide so you can understand the rocky beach landscape.

Intermediate and Experienced surfers ride the 2-to-4-foot (0.6-to-1.2 meter) waves in Playa Cedros on a left point break – boosting its best at mid-to-high incoming high tide - best swells coming south, and an unforgiving rocky bottom. The surf is good year round, but exceptional from December to April.

Drive 0.9 miles south from Montezuma, watch for a tall banyan tree on the left side of the dirt road and park your car near or below the tree.
